Event 8 / Stonemasonry Tour

Glasgow Cathedral has a full-time team of conservation stonemasons who work tirelessly to restore and maintain the medieval building’s ancient stonework. This exclusive glimpse behind the scenes will include a tour of their yard, and a talk from the master mason about this fascinating vocation and what it entails—from stone masonry techniques used for centuries, to the cutting-edge technology that has been developed to get the job done.

This is a free event, but we have very limited spaces available, so book now to avoid disappointment!

This event is offered in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland. The tour may move around multiple locations—if you require assistance with mobility, please contact us at the time of booking and we will ensure your access needs are supported.
