students, under-18s, unemployed

We want everybody to be able to enjoy the arts, and to learn more about culture. It’s why our tours and lunchtime events are free and unticketed. However, we realise that not everybody is available during the daytime, so we’ve also made reduced-price tickets to our evening events available to anyone under 18, currently in higher education, or registered unemployed.

We are extremely lucky to be able to host the festival in Glasgow’s beautiful, medieval cathedral, which is both an active Christian church and a historic monument. The festival is open to all, and we are delighted to welcome people of all backgrounds throughout the weekend.

All of our event spaces and toilet facilities are accessible via ramp, elevator or stairlift, with the exception of the Lower Church (used for Event 3), which is unfortunately only accessible by staircase. All amplified spoken word will be broadcast on the cathedral’s induction loop. We are happy to take requests for BSL interpretation and a programme-reading service. If you have any questions, concerns or requests regarding accessibility at GCF, please contact us by email at or by telephone on 0141 552 8198.
