students, under-18s, unemployed
We want everybody to be able to enjoy the arts, and to learn more about history and culture. It’s why our exhibition, installation, tours and lunchtime recitals are free and unticketed. However, we realise that not everybody is available during the daytime, so we’ve also made our evening events free to anyone under 18, currently in higher education, or registered unemployed.
We are extremely lucky to be able to host the festival in Glasgow’s beautiful, medieval cathedral, which is both an active Christian church and a historic monument. The festival is open to all, and we are delighted to welcome people of all backgrounds throughout the week.
All of our event spaces and toilet facilities are accessible via ramp, elevator or stairlift. We provide surtitles for vocal events, and all amplified spoken word is broadcast on the cathedral’s induction loop. We are happy to take requests for BSL interpretation and a programme-reading service. If you have any questions, concerns or requests regarding accessibility at GCF, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 0141 552 8198.
